Ava Julianne- 20 Weeks

Hi Guys,

Well, I've not been as good with this pregnancy as the last. BOO! Between grad school and Lyla, I fear their won't be too much improvement but, I'll do my best!

Here we are at about 20 weeks. Try to look past my awesome outfit. :)

Everything is looking good with the little girl! Cade is excited, bless his heart. Even with all girls, he's still pumped. I mean, we may have to get a boy dog. Ha!

20 weeks

I'm loving...
Fruit and sleep! I'm also really loving being at home. That's probably just the summer talking though. :)

I miss...
Turkey sandwiches... desperately. Same thing I missed when I was with Lyla. With it being the summer time, I'm not going to lie, I sure do miss a yummy mango margarita. Ah well. Small price to pay for Miss Ava.

Baby...
Ava is weighing about 10 oz and is as long as a carrot. :) She's moving and kicking around in there. She doesn't like to share her space with tight clothes or when Lyla sits on her. Ha!

Life... 
We are living in the apartment and we are supposed to move at the end on July. There was ALOT of back and forth about where we would buy. We LOVE Frisco... so much. It's a perfect town to raise a family in. However, we debated moving to Richardson to be close to my work. As it turns out, God's plan was for us to stay in Frisco! We are sooooooooooo ready to move. Ugh. Once we move we can get Lyla set up and get Ava a nursery put together.

Lyla... 11 months old!

WHAT... your ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY is in less than one month?

Insert complete shock and hanging jaw here. 

Stat's:
You are 25 pounds. You are fairly short still. You fall in the 99% for weight and head size. Our smart baby girl. :) We are well aware that you are healthy and haven't really slowed down on your growing but your doctor is not concerned so we are happy campers. :D

Eat:
You take formula twice a day. Once in a sippy cup in the late morning and again in a bottle a little before dinner. You eat three meals a day and two snacks. Your LOVE turkey and cheddar cheese and corn dogs... you also really like strawberries and green beans. Not together, fortunately. :) 

Wear:
You wear size 4 diapers, you've been wearing these since you were 6 months old! You wear 18-24 month cloths though you are not a huge fan of getting dressed. 

Likes:
You are absolutely in love with our dog, Olivia. You think she is the funniest thing... she thinks you are odd too. You two have started to play together, Olivia brings you her toy, you pick it up and hand it to her. When she grabs it, you laugh hysterically. We love to listen to you laugh. You like to go outside a lot too! You love to babble out on our balcony (we are in an apartment at the moment). You also enjoy eating in any form or fashion. 

Dislikes:
You still really dislike going to sleep. I think you feel like you are going to miss out on something really fun so you don't want to go to bed.... trust us baby girl, your mom and dad are out cold pretty much as soon as you are. :) You dislike pineapple and new people. You are extremely shy. When new people talk to you, you shy away and tuck your head in our arm pit. It's the cutest thing ever. 

NEW:
You are tryinnnnnnng to walk. You stand up on your own and you 'cruise'... or walk around holding on to everything. You're close... we'll see in a few months where you are! :) You have cut several more teeth. Bless you heart, you've got about 11 teeth. This may be the worse thing that's happened to you in your infant-hood. Boo.

You are the TOLIET PAPER BANDIT. You will unroll an entire toll of toilet paper in a matter of minutes if we aren't watching. Once its unrolled, you shred it! Its hilarious and quite impressive. Hey, we are all about giving you opportunities to work on your fine motor skills. :)

Summer Stuff

Hey all!

Just wanted to update, it's been a while. Lyla is 10 1/2 month old now. Went to the doc on Monday, she is 25 pounds and a short little lady. She's in the 100 percentile for weight and head size. She's gonna be smart with that big ole brain! :)

For fathers day and Cade's birthday we rented a boat for the weekend. Lyla's first boat ride and beach experience... lots of sand eating and lots of fun! It was really a lovely time just relaxing with our family. Love.

And our girl DID NOT dig the life jacket. She took every opportunity to 'turtle' it and try and take it off. Hahaha

I love her in this little hat. It has to be her choice though. 

And here is the other little nugget. We are about 19 weeks along. 

Personally, I'm hanging on by a thread! Things are SUPER busy with graduate school and our sweet girl. Add on being pregnant, I just don't have any stamina. With all that being said, this summer marks the completion of a lot of things in our life! WOO WHO! We will be able to move into the new house, I'll graduate, and be able to just relax for a little bit.
